Cherry Almond Cookies

These delicate cookies resemble a buttery shortbread except they pack so much more flavor.  The tart dried cherries and sweet almonds totally compliment one another.  I also drizzled a sweet Amaretto glaze for an extra kick.  Oh cherry almond cookies, thank you for bringing your deliciousness to my kitchen!
